Real Wedding: Andrea and Kahlil

Andrea and Kahlil are two of Central Florida’s finest educators who have energy and spunk to spare. We first met during their summer vacation to plan for their October wedding. Kahlil was MIA for the first few minutes of our meeting because he was in line at a local electronics store to score a coveted gaming system. When he joined us with a grin on his face, we knew he was successful in his purchase.

Andrea was a calm and no fuss kind of a bride that was very much grounded in reality and Kahlil was full of energy and excited to be a part of the design process. I have to say, I don’t always have an opportunity to meet the groom but Kahlil dove into the task at hand and I think they both enjoyed the process more then they would have expected. They were certainly shocked by the amount of options and decisions involved, but it never phased them or their creativity.

Trying to stay within a budget, we narrowed their modern taste to a flat card with printed layers to give it a rich look in their wedding colors of espresso and sage. The colors expertly coordinated with their outdoor ceremony under a huge shady tree at Historic Dubsdread in Orlando, Florida. Plus the deep espresso color also complimented the richness of the wood interior of their reception space on the same property.

We paired the invitation with an equally clean and simple response postcard that included an extra personal touch beyond the standard “yes” and “no” responses by choosing “wouldn’t miss it for the world” for the former and “regretfully cannot be there to share in your day” for the latter.

We included their sleek lowercase monogram on top of their seating chart for their guests to easily find their table assignments. This is a fun replacement for traditional table cards as well as a keepsake after the wedding.

I felt like I had a good idea of the couple’s personality, but I truly had no idea until I saw their wedding pictures where they shined brightly in the presence of their family, friends and each other! Enjoy their photos provided by SNS Weddings including their getaway Mini!
